I’ve lost weight and built muscle many times moving between weight classes and helped many more people do the same.
Here’s 7 common mistakes preventing you from getting lean and losing your belly:
This makes your diet overly restrictive killing adherence. Further, it’s total calories not whether a food is “bad.” Is chicken & potatoes a better option than the cheeseburger?
Sure. But if accounted within your calorie range, you’re fine.
Protein smoothies are an exception. But drinking full sugar sodas and juices are extra calories you could be eating to feel full.
If you must drink them, go for zero calorie alternatives.
The idea of snacks is fucking stupid. Eat a proper meal.
Avoid dried fruit, nuts, & trail mix when trying to eat healthy and lose weight.
A handful of trail mix will set you back at least 200 calories without putting a dent in your appetite.
You may not realize you’re adding another 100 calories to every meal.
Instead, use 0 calorie condiments like hot sauce and mustard.
Often the salad option at your restaurant/fast food place has more calories than the supposed “bad” food option.
Drowning the salad in high fat and sugar dressings doesn’t help you.
If you must get a salad, get dressing on the side.
Pussy walks and jogs will only get you so far. You need to lift weights like you would when building muscle.
This retains muscle mass while losing body fat so you don’t end up skinny fat.
Crash diets have you believing your 30 lb weight loss goal can be achieved in a week.
It can…
But then you rebound 10 lbs heavier than previously. Find something sustainable and think long term.
3, 6, or 9 months with mini breaks.
